Sing to Me is celebrating its sixteenth year offering Music Together® curriculum. Classes take place once a week and last 45 minutes. Music Together Curriculum is used in all classes. Music Together is a research - based curriculum that has been developed by the Center for Music and Young Children which "is committed to helping families, caregivers, and early childhood professionals rediscover the pleasure and educational value of informal musical experiences that emphasize participation rather than performance, and which occur with the context of daily life."
Music Together provides 9 rotating collections of songs. This Fall we are using the Fiddles Collection. Materials include a song book, cd and for the first time a family code to download the songs online. There will also be a Parent Guide DVD called "Music Together at Home: Helping Your Child Grow Musically" for new families. The cost for new families for the Fall 2015 & Winter 2016 session will be $180 and $170 for returning families. Cost for siblings over 8 months is $80. The third child is free. There will be an 8 week spring session beginning in March. Tuition will be $165 for new families, $155 for returning families and $70 for siblings.
Please check with me if you have taken more than 9 sessions with me. If so, you qualify for a Good Family Discount. If you are a member of the Towson Presbyterian Church you qualify for the TPC Discount.
Sing to Me is held at two centers. Monday and Tuesday, I hold classes at Towson Presbyterian Church on Chesapeake Ave. in Towson. Thursday and Friday classes are at Ashland Presbyterian Church on Ashland Road in Hunt Valley.
Just a reminder that I do not cancel classes when Baltimore County Schools cancel. I try to hold classes whenever possible. Older siblings are always welcome when their schools are not in session due to holidays or inclement weather. I will send out an email and post directions on my if there is any change in classes due to winter weather concerns. You can always schedule a make-up class if the roads are too hazardous in your neighborhood.
